i-FORCE Gas Engine
The gas engine for the 4Runner provides 278 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque that is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Grade Specific Suspension
Every grade has a specific suspension set up, built with that grades purpose in mind. Select gas models come standard with conventional twin tube shock absorbers controlling the vehicles compression and rebound generating a smoother ride. While the TRD Off-Road trims come with Bilstein®13 monotube shock absorbers, that improve ride stability on those off-road adventures.
Available 3rd Row Seating
Select gas models come with 50/50 split, fold-flat third-row seat that boosts seating capacity up to seven passengers offering the irreplaceable memories of a full car.
i-FORCE MAX Powertrain
This powertrain pairs the turbocharged 2.4-liter engine with a 48-hp electric motor integrated into the eight-speed transmission, feeding off a 1.87-kWh NiMH battery pack that creates a total system output of up to 326 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque, the most powerful powertrain ever offered on 4Runner.
TRD Pro
Inspired by Toyota’s Baja racing legacy, the 4Runner TRD Pro comes standard with a TRD-tuned FOX®11 suspension, 33-in. Toyo all-terrain tires and electrifying i-FORCE MAX performance.
First-Ever 4Runner Trailhunter
Built for overlanding, the Trailhunter comes with standard off-road equipment from ARB®, Old Man Emu® and Rigid Industries®10 that can make you stabilize your adventure. The Trailhunter also comes with exclusive and new features like the Everest exterior color and 18-in. bronze-finished wheels.
Flex Up and Over
Standard on TRD Pro and Trailhunter models, the new Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism (SDM) helps you navigate across terrain with ease6. With the touch of a button, the stabilizer bar disengages to give the front suspension increased wheel articulation, helping to keep all four wheels in contact with the ground.
Illuminated Drive
The Traihunter is equipped with an integrated 20-inch LED light bar that is complemented by color selectable RIGID LED fog lamps.
