With an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 252 miles for front-wheel-drive models and up to 228 miles for all-wheel-drive models,2 you can enjoy the fun of electric driving in the bZ4X.
Powerful Electric Motor
bZ4X takes advantage of an electric powertrain by delivering almost instantaneous torque to a drive that comes naturally. Front-wheel-drive models produce 201 hp with 196 lb.-ft. of max torque, while all-wheel-drive models deliver 214 hp with 248 lb.-ft. of max torque.
All-Wheel Drive with X-Mode

Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Safe Exit Assist
Standard Blind Spot Monitor (BSM)14 with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA)15 and Safe Exit Assist16 is designed to help look out for you. The Blind Spot Monitor warns you when a vehicle in the next lane enters bZ4X’s blind spot. Safe Exit Assist uses BSM sensors to detect approaching vehicles from the rear and warns you if there may be a collision with a door opening. And when you’re in reverse, the Rear Cross-Traffic Alert helps detect vehicles approaching from either side.
Bird’s Eye View Camera
bZ4X’s available Bird's Eye View Camera17 with Perimeter Scan helps you check your surroundings for hazards. It uses four cameras, one on each side of the vehicle, to display a bird’s-eye view on the touchscreen display.
Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking
Standard Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking (PA w/AB)18 has audible and visual warnings, and in certain conditions may automatically apply the brakes when there is a possibility of contact with a stationary object or vehicle.
Vehicle Charging
Charging is as easy as plugging in your smartphone. bZ4X includes a portable 120V (Level 1) AC charging cord that simply plugs into a standard household outlet to charge. For faster charging times, bZ4X is compatible with a 240V AC charger (Level 2) and DC Fast Charging.19
Charge Scheduling
Take advantage of available off-peak electricity rates when charging your bZ4X. Through its touchscreen display or the Toyota app on your compatible smartphone, you can create a schedule for what time to start and stop charging while plugged in. And when you need to charge right away, just hit the “Charge Now” button to begin charging immediately.21
All-Electric Battery Warranty
The bZ4X battery warranty covers 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. In addition to providing for a fully functional battery the warranty also protects against abnormal loss of capacity, providing for a minimum of 70% of original BEV battery capacity.22
