New Vehicle Warranty

Basic Warranty

This warranty covers repairs to any part that Toyota supplies that is defective in material or workmanship under normal use for a period of 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first from the vehicle's date of first use.

Powertrain

Engine, transmission, front and rear wheel drive and restraint system are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the vehicle's [in-service date] date of first use.

Corrosion Perforations

Any exterior, painted body sheet metal found, under normal use, to have developed a perforation (corrosion starting under the paint) from corrosion due to defects in material or workmanship, is warranted for five years from the vehicle's date of first use , regardless of mileage.

Emission Control Warranty

Emission Defect Warranty
  • Related Parts: EPA regulations require that the warranty is in effect for two years from the date the vehicle is first put into service or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first. However, Toyota will provide you a coverage of three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the vehicle's date of first use under the terms of the Basic Warranty or the Powertrain Warranty.
  • Specified Major Emission Control Components: EPA regulations also require that the warranty for specified major emission control components is in effect for eight years or 80,000 miles, whichever comes first from the vehicle's date of first use.
Emission Performance Warranty
  • Related Parts: EPA regulations require that the warranty is in effect for two years from the date the vehicle is first put into service or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first from the vehicle's date of first use.
  • Specified Major Emission Control Components: EPA regulations require that the warranty for specified major emission control components is in effect for eight years or 80,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Hybrid Vehicle Systems

Specific Hybrid Vehicle components are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 96 months or 100,000 miles, which ever comes first, from the vehicle's date of first use.

Hybrid Battery Warranty

For model years 2020 and up, Toyota hybrid battery warranty is up to 10 years from date of first use, or 150,000 miles whichever comes first. For older model years, Toyota hybrid battery warranty is 8 years or 100,000 miles whichever comes first.

Tire Warranty

The tires that come as original equipment on your vehicle are warranted by their manufacturer and not Toyota.
To obtain service for tire concerns, take the tire to an authorized dealership of the tire manufacturer.
Some Toyota dealerships sell tires.
